ABOUT

Masoom is a Belgian-Indian illustrator.

Drawing is for her a form of meditation, a way of slowing down, of being fully in the present moment and in a given place.

Her main sources of inspiration are architecture, cities, landscapes and above all, the humans who inhabit them. She never travels without a sketchbook in her bag, whether it's on the other side of the world or down the road.

She also creates comics to tell about architecture, cities, landscapes and the life stories that take place there.

To share her passion with others, she offers workshops on reconnecting with drawing, discovering watercolors, travel sketching, comics, etc.

Path

After studying architecture in Brussels and Valencia, she moved to France in 2019, first to Bordeaux then to Lille, to contribute to cultural awareness-raising in the fields of architecture, urban development and landscape within different associations and cultural institutions.

In 2022, she returned to Brussels where she worked for almost two years for the public service in the urban development sector.

At the end of 2023, she decided to change of life and return to her mother's native land, India, to dedicate herself to drawing and to the study of yoga.
